The Value Of Fengshui
When you must say fengshui
is a science subject, all you will come up are troubles.
In particular, the theories of fengshui regarding the
graves are so problematic.
Nobody can prove to you
about the direct relationship between the family members
and the predecessors. Of course, the major premise lies
in the interaction between the dead and the survivor.
The Classic Of Burying
says, "After one-hundred year's development, the body
vanishes but the spirit still exists. The ashes of dead
get the good vigor(qi) and reflect back to himselves
or children." The author's observation may not be justifiable;
Besides, the Book Of Burying writes, "burying, the gist
of utilizing the vigor (qi), which orginates from the
earth and hence moisten everything."
This theory is not reasonable
either. But it would be a mistake to conclude that fengshui
burying amounts to nothing. Fengshui, to be exact, teaches
us to observe the language of nature.
For good or for bad,
the children's life path may not have direct relations
with the fengshui. Even if I observe many examples myself,
I can't jump to the conclusion that fengshui helps people
through all difficulties. I will say, all mountaineers
can tell you the mighty of nature and the tiny of mankind.
Learning fengshui enables us to get the big picture,
and the benefit to children is just a pure bonus
Preordained incantation (1)
The famous Japanese detective fiction
" Devil's felt " describes the humpback killed numerous
people by his handsome appearance, in which the modus
operandi are panic-stricken. Although the story per
se is fabricated, the truths in this world are sometimes
more strange.
When I arrived at Province X of Guangzhou
4 years ago, all I wanted to do was mountaineering.
However, I only overheard, " feng-shui master? They
are only liars! " . Imagine how upset I was to learn
about this when I was just a passer-by!
I made up my mind to find out the causes
of the problem. It was all because of a family, which
the members were kind-hearted but, unluckily, rickety
at the same time. They appealed to the help of modern
medicine but their hopes were gone with their wealth.
What's worse, when their grandson was born, he still
suffered from that malady.
The grandfather opined that they might
be required to compensate for their ancestors' mistakes
instead. As long as they performed more alms deed, the
offspring would no longer met the same thing. His son
was quite a good man; and he adhered to the metaphysics
so seriously that he "invested" each penny on it! Needless
to say, all these ended up nothing.
On observing his son's infirmity, he
was on the verge of collapse......The most worrying
factor was the little boy -- Putting aside the possible
deprival of survivorship by his father, to what extent
his upspring would be affected by the paranoiac father?
And the words from villagers were eldritch, "are they
all punished by the god?"
I went for their house and informed
them of my feng-shui inspection. The collocation of
the house could be boiled down to three words: darkness,
hopelessness and strangeness. There was a man in it,
who was dressing up unconsciously with a twitched smile
on his face. Obviously, he was losing his mind. The
situation was so weird that I would not forget for the
rest of my life.
"Please leave. We have no more money
left. We can't afford to pay a feng-shui master." The
grandfather ordered me to leave, but I did not move
a step.
"All I want is the truth; you need
not pay me anything."
"Are you telling me that you will solve
my problem in a day while we were helpless in the face
of it for 40 years?" The old man's comment just came
right to the point.
I stood in front of the house a half
day, watching the scenes and mountains for a long time.
I couldn't reach any conclusion at all ......
Preordained incantation (2)
Following the logical arrangement, it
is time that the feng-shui master used a brilliant way
to solve the problem, and boosted himself by tackling
the 40-year mystery. Nonetheless, it cannot be observed
here.
I was trying my luck and I needed give
up my knowledge to adopt a new one. It indeed pained
me.. "Master, have you seen enough?" Seeing me standing
helpless outside, the old man asked me.
"Ah, I am no master at all." I felt
extremely embarrassed in the face of this environment.
"Many masters opine the water and mountains
of my house are perfect. So, they advise me to take
a look at my predecessors' tomb for making any mistake.
But I really don't know where the tomb is....." The
bitter in these words can still be keenly felt in and
out of the land.....
I roughly drew a map and went back to
hotel for a sleepless night. The second day also wasn't
easy for me. With the heaviest footsteps, all I had
was the apologetic expression.
"Sorry, old folk. Frankly speaking,
I got nothing to help you. But could you please listen
to my speculations?"
"I have already worshipped all our
gods......"
"Negative. As it has been said, it
should be the water instead of mountains to kill people.
In the light of the situation, the thorn should be out
of water. I suggest shifting the bearing of the main
door to avoid present bearing."
"But how?"
"The coordinate now is 315 degree, and
you may make it at 300 degree. Although the good mountains
are no longer under your control, I believe it is worth
a trial." "What can I do if it doesn't work?"
"Then try another ways....." I left
at once when I dropped these words. I really can't estimate
whether it is a solution. Is it the limitation of me
or the knowledge? I just don't know. I cast doubt on
everything.
Considering that all I have done was
a gamble, the old man and I won the game. Eventually,
after the change, the whole family has now become better
off. Most importantly, the man resume his confidence
and brave the life again. Even though many stuff has
been gone down in history, people concerned feel much
warmer.
I also come to realize one thing: no
matter how classical the theory is, it may only end
in a dream. Since then, I never believe what I learnt
completely. In addition, practicing feng-shui is just
like conducting oneself in society ¢w¢w There is no such
thing as sufficiency in these aspects.
