Euthanasia & Apoptosis
The disputes from euthanasia have long
been at issue. However, few of the Chinese supports
the idea since they all believe in one thing -- " If
Bodhisattva doesn't call on me, I shouldn't go for it.
"
It has been found out that the termination
of lives is not only caused by diseases. In fact, the
growth of foetuses underline a certian degree of cells'
death, which release water first, and then shrivel in
volume before the phagocytes have taken place. Scientist
usually names it "Programmed Death" or "Apoptosis".
"All cells in our body will undergo
the programmed death because they all come from the
same inseminated ovum. It means they are from one gene
pool, including the programmed death gene. The difference
lies in the ways of expression which results in different
fate. However, even they are cells which are not able
to revive, they will meet the same consequence because
of the effect of their species. The cells in our myocardium
inside the neuron are not always observed the similar
effect since they are determined by our "biological
clock"
. " Should the above theory is true,
the topic of Euthanasia will no longer be a argument:
it leaves it whether we should or our cells have the
last say for our time of survivial.
But we must remember that truth may
not stands for reasons. The truth found out by our predecssors
may become today's joke. Perhaps Apoptosis will end
in as the buddhism always says, it is just a temporary,
illusory, partial, presumably and not an eternal thing.
The Critical Point Of Survival
In view of medical knowledge, the symptom
of death should include:
- The end of breathe
- The end of heartbeat
- The end of tension in the eyeball
- The change of pupil of the eyes
All these represent the body fluid stop
floating and mal-functions of heart and lungs, and thus
the cerebral cortex comes to the end accordingly.
Nonetheless, for those who deeply believe
they have experienced the critical point of death·A all
the above-mentioned terminations are nothing. They all
think that when the moment they were called and refused
to leave, it was truly the real point of survival.
To sum up their experience, they usually
enter into a tranquil realm. When they meet with a period
of comforting moments, something or somebody will guide
them to another place, when is the critical moment --
if they refuse to follow, they can go back to the material
world.
In the book Of "True Light Above
The World", such kinds of experience are very natural.
A decent businessman talks about his return, "
When I woke up, I saw a flower at the very first. I
cried out suddenly. Believe it or not, it is the first
time that I truly observe a flower by my heart.......
We are actually part of the universe, and all things
are the same."
Of course, not everyone can "come
back" from those experience."Letting leave
when it is time" . If we realize there must be
a place for us to live, what will be the difference
even if it is not a material world?
